False Alarm Procedures

If you are certain it is a false-alarm:

Input your 4-digit security code number followed by a one (off) or a zero (disarm/cancel) depending on the system that you have. If you have the Concord System, input the number one followed by your 4-digit security code. Consult your owner's manual or a HomeGuard™ representative for details. Or, if you have a key-chain remote control, you also can use it to disarm the system.

By quickly and properly disarming your system, you will help to prevent the dispatch of the Police or Fire Departments.

To help reduce false alarms, we attempt to verify every alarm signal that we receive by calling the location of the system in an attempt to speak with the Customer and verify the nature of the signal. (For quickest response to an emergency situation, HomeGuard will not attempt to call to verify a Police Emergency (panic) Button signal prior to the dispatch of the Police Department.)

If the Customer is able to confirm the signal is a false alarm, and can input the proper access code, the Police or Fire Departments will not be dispatched.

For additional information about alarm dispatch procedures or other questions, please call the HomeGuard Customer Service Department at (206) 521-5678 or 1-800-224-4211.
